Hand separation equals leverage. Our handles are designed to optimize hand separation. The tension system is located toward the middle of the handle, so you can place your hand further down the handle where most of the weight is. This allows you to spread your hands wider to create more leverage. More leverage means less effort and less fatigue. Wrap better longer!

Our shrink wrap dispensers work great with pre-stretch wrap! Pre-stretch wrap doesn't require as much tension as cast or blown material. Simply adjust your MANPLOW to a lower tension setting and wrap away! 

 Even the best workers are more apt to take shortcuts when fatigued. When it comes to preparing shipments and material handling, the right handle makes a difference!  

The handle length doesn’t dictate how tall a pallet you can wrap. The SWD4500, SWD3400, and SWD2500 are all more than capable of wrapping a 92” pallet! 

 Handle length determines how far you can separate your hands when using the equipment. The wider you space your hands, the more leverage you can generate. More leverage means less effort and less fatigue. Less effort and less fatigue allow you to perform at a higher level for a longer time. Wrap better, longer! 

The best handheld shrink wrap dispensers are designed to be used in an upright, walking position. If a taller associate uses a handle that is too short, they will have to bend down while wrapping the bottom of the pallet. They will experience fatigue sooner. A proper-length handle will allow them to wrap the bottom of the pallet without discomfort and fatigue. For best performance, choose the handle based on volume and associate height! 

Without compressing the spring, rotate the handle until you see a portion of a stem hole through one of the lower handle holes. Rotate the handle 2 holes, compress the spring, and insert the Tension Control Pin. If you like more tension, try rotating the Handle 3 Holes. 

No, the portable stretch wrap dispenser is not a specialty tool. It can easily wrap, with less effort, anything a parallel handle dispenser can (pictured on the left). The best stretch wrap dispenser will replace a parallel hand wrap dispenser. In fact, a parallel hand wrap dispenser is more of a specialty tool than our shrink wrap dispenser. Parallel hand wrap dispensers are very good at wrapping items waist-to-chest high. They require too much effort in awkward positions to do a good job wrapping lower than your waist or higher than your chest. 

No. Assembly and roll changes can all be done without any tools. It is a very simple process that takes about 45 seconds to do.

Anyone can assemble and use our stretch wrap dispenser. Follow the simple directions to assemble it for the first time, and you’ll understand just how simple it can be. Using it is very intuitive. If you can walk around a pallet, you can wrap it. Sure, there are fancy wrapping techniques that you can do with a MANPLOW that you could never do with a regular dispenser, but they are easy and oftentimes fun to experiment with. 

 Our long-handle stretch wrap dispensers are ruggedly simple. They are over-built with super strong, lightweight aluminum to stand up to heavy use and, by design, have no vulnerable systems that can render them unusable. That’s not to say it will never get run over by a forklift. And if it does, rest assured, we can replace any part in no time flat. 

The very act of wrapping a pallet with a parallel handle dispenser is nearly identical to the party game where folks run up to a baseball bat, bend over, spin around 10 times, and then have to run to the next activity. It’s funny to watch when it is in the middle of a soft, grassy field but not when it’s in a fast-paced warehouse with lots of hard surfaces, sharp edges and moving equipment. Many warehouse injuries result from slips and falls. If you can eliminate situations where you may slip and fall, you can eliminate injuries. Additionally, some pallets may need to be wrapped in an over/under method. This exposes workers' arms with a parallel handle dispenser. Not with our shrink wrap dispenser. You can do a 360 wrap without ever exposing any part of your body to potential harm.
